Dr. Renato Saltz is a Board Certified plastic surgeon, Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is past-President of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is an Adjunct Professor or Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah and Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at University Federal Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is an Honorary Member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He serves as Visiting Professor for ASAPS & ISAPS and is past trustee for both societies.
Dr. Saltz has given over 500 lectures at national/international meetings. He has published over 100 articles, 50 chapters and has authored 7 books in Plastic Surgery, including the textbook, Cosmetic Medicine and Aesthetic Surgery: Strategies for Success (QMP, 2009).
Dr. Saltz has been Program Chair of over 39 national/international educational meetings in Plastic Surgery including meetings for the University of Utah, The Rocky Mountain Association of Plastic Surgeons, The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS), The Vegas Multispecialty Meetings (VCS), The Miami Cosmetic Surgery (MCS), Gobal Aesthetics Conference (GAC) and The American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meetings (ABAM).
Renowned as early pioneer in endoscopic facial surgery, Dr. Saltz has maintained a special interest in facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, breast surgery and Cosmetic Medicine. He has been featured on “Extra” and had many other national tv appearances. Has been quoted in Allure, New Beauty, Bazaar, Plastica & Beleza Magazine, the New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal and many other national and international publications. He is on Editorial Boards at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, New Beauty Magazine, The Aesthetic Guide, Zalea, Modern Aesthetics and Cureus.
Dr. Saltz founded and chairs The American-Brazilian Aesthetic Meeting (ABAM) for 16 years. An educational non-profit annual event that brings together hundreds of plastic surgeons from all over the world to discuss all issues of aesthetic surgery & cosmetic medicine.
He also founded and chairs The Image Reborn Foundation of Utah, a 25-year-old non-profit organization dedicated to provide 3-day no-cost retreats to breast cancer survivors in Utah, Colorado and Texas. The Foundation has served over 4000 survivors from the US and abroad.
Dr. Saltz is in private practice in Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah where he opened Spa Vitoria in 2002, the first medical spa in the Intermountain West. His mission is to provide ultimate excellent care beyond surgery and non-surgical treatments and bring to the mountains of Utah an exotic and healing atmosphere that reflects the beauty of his native Brazil.
