Dr. Saranya Wyles is a board-certified dermatologist and physician-scientist from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. She is the Director of the NIH-funded Regenerative Dermatology and Skin Aging Laboratory at Mayo Clinic Department of Dermatology. She is Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Regenerative Medicine. The goal of Dr. Wyles' current work is to develop new regenerative therapies and clinical trials in dermatology to counteract the detrimental impact of senescent cells, or zombie cells, with aging and age-related skin diseases. Her research related to 3D bioprinting skin has been featured on the NBC Today’s Show. Her clinical practice focuses on aesthetic medicine for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration. She also serves as the Research Chair at the Mayo Clinic Center for Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Wyles is committed to training the next-generation in regenerative sciences, and pioneered the development of a novel regenerative medicine curriculum for medical and graduate students. She currently serves as Associate Director of Education at Mayo Clinic Center for Regenerative Biotherapeutics.
Prior to starting at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Wyles graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University, then completed a research fellowship at Harvard Stem Cell Institute. She attended Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and then completed dermatology residency and Mayo Scholar at Mayo Clinic Department of Dermatology.
